Retail Therapy

Aaron has been out of town a lot lately. Sometimes it's nice to get a break. I always appreciate him so much more when he gets back from a trip. These last couple of weeks with him gone so much I have been super lonely. I miss my family and my friends in Chicago. No matter how many years I have been in San Diego I always miss home. My high school friends did a mini reunion this weekend back in Illinois. I am bummed I missed it. I am thankful that they didn't plaster pictures all over Facebook.

Today, to pick up my spirits, I did a little shopping.

Here is my favorite score:

Anthropologie dress -- a little pricey but I sold two stories this month so I kind of deserve it. Also, it is super cute on. This photo does not do it justice.

Summer Sales

The ony good thing about the end of summer is the sales.

Here are my recent scores:

J.crew dress that I have been eyeballing for months I maanged to score it on clearance with an additional 40% off.  It makes me irrationally giddy.  I adore a well made dress
I saw these cute little shorts in the Anthropologie catalog back in April for $49! I became obssessed with trying to find something simailar at a cheaper price.  Luckily for me I scored them on the clearance rack. The best feature are the cute wooden buttons near each leg opening.

I lost a decent amount of stomach weight this summer. I owe my weight lose entirely on the ten minuite hula hoop excercise on Wii fit. I'm not kidding, I'm lazy enough to resort to using a video game to get in shape. In my search for a flattering bikini that would mask my problem areas I found this Kenneth Cole one at Macy's.  The skirted bottom draws attention away from the stomach and it has great mom butt coverage.  At it's sale price for $21.99 for the top and additional $21.99 for the bottom I had to pass on it until I saw marked down to nearly nothing a month later ($9 for top and bottom).  Mine is Teal and I will need to do a lot more than wii fit to look as good in it as the model does.

Dress Lust

I have a little obsession with online window shopping.  I am in love with these dresses:

The first one is from Anthropologie, the second two are J.Crew, the shirt is from Urban Outfitters, and the last dress is Free People

Reason number 57,864,321 why I love Anthropologie

Two years ago, when I found out that Anthropologie would be opening shop in Chula Vista and Fashion Valley I just about died. Seriously. That's how much I love their stuff. I could spend hours in that store trying on stuff and staring longing at their beautiful merchandise. Only problem is everything is out of my thrift store loving price range.

Last fall I found an amazing Anthropologie orange cowl neck sweater at my local AMVETS. I wore it religiously. My mom visited and washed my dry clean only things. She wrecked my beloved sweater. I almost threw her out onto the street, that is how heavy my rage was.

Over the years I have purchased a few anthro items. All of which are my very favorite wardrobe items. Their stuff is timeless. I have a periwinkle summer dress that looks like it is straight out of the 1950's, and a pale yellow cardigan that looks awesome with everything.

Currently they are having a summer sale. Last night I convinced myself that I needed a few new things because soon I will be back in school, also I may or may not have an interview next week. Above all, I deserve nice things, dammit!

Here is what I bought for  terrifc bargain sale prices:
